Curriculum for Medicine

    Studying Medicine lasts for 6 years and includes mastering of subjects and courses, which are listed in the curriculum attached.
    The curriculum keeps to the principles of the European Credit Transfer System, including: structuring of training disciplines on modules; using ECTS as a unit of training load measurement, necessary for mastering disciplines; the application of ECTS scale of evaluation.
    During the first academic year students get knowledge of Latin medical terminilogy and learn basics of the Ukrainian language for assimilation with local citizens and facilitation of extra-curricular activities.
    First 3 years of study include mostly basic pre-clinical subjects: Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Genetics, Pharmacology, etc. Obtained knowledge will lead you to profound understanding of human body structure, factors influencing its functioning, and principles of diseases origin.  This knowledge is considered to be the basis information of  a future physician. 
    Last 3 years of study include detailed study of clinical subjects: Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Neurology, Surgery, etc. You will deal with causes of diseases, their signs and symptoms, classic and modern principles of laboratory and instrumental diagnostics, medical and procedural ways of treatment. You will have a unique possibility to communicate with patients and use the aquired knowledge and skills in practice.
